Artist and Author Bios: Frank Gori

Frank Gori
Gamer established in Year: 1989
Favorite Class and why: I gravitate toward multiclassing, I almost always include some rogue. I love skill points and evasion in particular, also the idea of dealing more damage to an unprepared opponent appeals to my sense of tactics. I also almost always go after having a pet ff some kind.

Favorite Race to play and why: I suspect it will ultimately be Samsurian because they have an interesting RP hook as they are reincarnated and that has to be for a purpose in my mind.

How where you introduced to the game? The guys that got tired of basically fighting every recess in 5th grade started a game.

What inspired you to become a game designer/artist? The realization I had already been doing it for years. I modded 2nd edition a lot and I carried a lot of ideas between the different editions.
Susperstar 2013 was when I fully realized what I was doing and what I could do.

Who or what influences your work the most? Comic book super heroes are likely the most influential. They tend to have a theme and explore that theme. Weaknesses are a natural consequence of the chosen theme typically.

Where can I find your work?  See our links page :P

What is your favorite thing about or in the game? Finding creative uses for spells is my favorite. Having a Halfling use a floating disk spell as shelter from an ice storm, using grease to drop a foe that’s climbing, or silent image to create an obscuring mist I can see thru.

What is your least favorite part of the game? Rules lawyers. I just plain can’t stand a long rules argument it break immersion and the mood.

If you could share a meal with any three people, dead or alive, fiction or real, then who would you pick and why? I’d choose Ernest Hemmingway for writing advice, Theodore Roosevelt because he was awesome, and Yoda so he can teach me how to wield the force.

Other lesser/Hobbies: Running, Kendo, Reading like a starving man eats, Open mic nights for stand up comedy and Karaoke.
